Reddit AdsReddit’s catalog asks for your star ratings. Renable fills them in.

Reddit Dynamic Product Ads have been generally available to every Reddit advertiser, globally, since May 2025 — no application, no allowlist. Renable writes the catalog feed Reddit reads, hosts it at a URL Reddit fetches on your sync schedule, and fills the rating and review-count fields from the reviews it already reads for you.

Reddit’s catalog has a field for social proof. Almost nothing fills it.

Reddit’s Dynamic Product Ads spec includes an average review rating and a number of ratings — two fields that put your star score and how many people left one on the product itself. Most catalogs ship them empty, for a boring reason: those numbers aren’t in the product feed. They live in your review platform.

Renable already reads them. Connect Trustpilot, Bazaarvoice, TestFreaks, Yotpo, or a Google review XML feed, and Renable matches reviews to products, extracts and confidence-scores the quotes, and writes the rating and the count straight into the Reddit feed. A store sync that only forwards your product data has nothing to put there.

No application. No allowlist.

Reddit opened Dynamic Product Ads to all advertisers globally through Reddit Ads Manager in May 2025. You don’t apply, you don’t wait for an invite, and you don’t have to be on Shopify. If something you read still calls it a beta, that page is out of date.

A tolerant parser with firm edges

Reddit reads CSV, TSV, RSS 2.0 XML, Google Sheets or a compressed file, and takes a comma, semicolon, pipe or tab as the delimiter. What it will not read is ATOM XML. Renable never writes Atom, always writes UTF-8, and always writes the header row Reddit requires.

Images have to clear 500×500

The main image must be a JPG or PNG, at least 500 by 500 pixels, and under 20 MB. Renable checks every product’s image against that before the feed goes out and names the ones that fall short, instead of letting them drop out quietly.

Price carries its currency code

Reddit wants a number followed by its ISO 4217 code — 89.00 USD, not $89. Renable formats price per market, so the same catalog comes out correct in every currency you sell in, and long fields stay inside Reddit’s limits.

Reddit’s spec is essentially Google Merchant with a forgiving parser and a legacy alias set of its own — name, url, fullimage. Close enough that people assume their existing feed just works; different enough that it quietly doesn’t. And most feed tools don’t ship a Reddit channel at all.

What Renable feeds Reddit

One catalog, cleaned once, formatted the way each destination expects — and on Reddit, carrying the review data most catalogs leave behind.

Your customers’ verdict, on the product

Native Trustpilot, Bazaarvoice, TestFreaks and Yotpo integrations, plus any Google review XML feed. Renable matches reviews to products and writes the rating and count into the fields Reddit reserves for exactly that.

Put your customers in the ad

A clean, mapped feed

Your data mapped to Reddit’s catalog fields, corrected by rules and lookups, and re-imported roughly every hour so prices and stock stay fresh.

Fix the feed IT won’t touch

Descriptions written to the limit

Reddit allows 5,000 characters of description and recommends staying under 180. AI writes from each product’s own data, fact-checks every claim against it, and works in each market’s language.

See how the copy is written

FreshnessOne URL, pasted once

Renable re-imports your data roughly every hour and rewrites the feed behind a stable URL, so the prices and stock in your catalog are the ones on your site. You paste that URL into Reddit’s Catalog Manager one time.

From then on Reddit fetches it on the sync schedule you set there. No re-upload, no file to remember, and no second place where your product data can go stale.

Reddit ingests from an HTTPS, FTP or SFTP address. Renable hosts yours and keeps it current; you pick the sync schedule in Reddit’s Catalog Manager.
Or a file, once
Reddit also takes a manual bulk import of up to 200 MB. Fine for a first look — but it’s a snapshot, and it stops being true the moment a price moves.

No rip-and-replace

Keep the catalog you’re running. Stand a new one beside it.

Reddit documents no supplementary or side-feed concept — there is one catalog feed and it is the whole product. So the honest way in is a parallel run: leave the catalog you have exactly where it is, publish a Renable catalog next to it, and compare the two outputs product by product.

When the Renable feed is the better one — and you can see field by field where it is — point Reddit at it and retire the old setup on your own timeline. Nothing has to change on day one.

Diagnostics

“Why aren’t my products showing in my Reddit catalog?”

Reddit won’t walk you through which product broke or why, and one of the usual causes isn’t in the feed at all. Renable catches the ones that are, names the exact products, and tells you what to change. Here’s what it usually is:

The Reddit Pixel isn’t in place
Dynamic Product Ads require the Reddit Pixel or the Conversions API, and that lives on your own store, not in your feed. Renable delivers the catalog; it can’t install the pixel for you. Check this first if the catalog looks fine and nothing runs.
An image under 500×500
Reddit wants a JPG or PNG, at least 500 by 500 pixels, under 20 MB. Renable flags every product that falls short before the feed goes out, and can fall back to a larger image from the same product.
12 products
A price without its currency code
Reddit reads price as a number followed by its ISO 4217 code. “$89” isn’t that; “89.00 USD” is. Renable formats it per market so you never hand-fix a currency column.
31 products
A field over its limit
The id caps at 128 characters, the title at 300, the description at 5,000, and both URLs at 2,000. Renable measures every field against Reddit’s own limits and names what overflows.
8 products
The category isn’t allowed on Reddit
Reddit’s ad policy prohibits alcohol, prescription drugs, cannabis and CBD, and gambling. No feed work makes those eligible — better to know that before you build the channel than after.
Still pending review (working as intended)
Reddit reviews catalogs and can hold or reject individual products, which shows as a pending state. Reddit doesn’t publish how long that takes, so we won’t invent a number — nothing is broken, it hasn’t cleared yet.

Why is the Trail Runner 300 missing from my Reddit catalog?

It’s in the product set and no rule excluded it. Its main image is 400×400, and Reddit needs at least 500×500. 12 products have the same problem.

SetupFrom a store URL to a Reddit feed, in one conversation

Give Aimée your store URL and she imports the catalog, maps it to Reddit’s fields, pulls the rating and review count in from your review platform, and tells you exactly which products needed changing.

Every structural change is a draft until a human publishes it — that’s the rule, not a setting. Publish, and she hands back the feed URL for Reddit’s Catalog Manager.

Renable builds the feed and the creative. Reddit runs the campaigns.

What Renable controls is that Reddit gets the best possible version of every product — a clean catalog in a shape its parser reads, with the rating and review-count fields actually filled.

Budgets, targeting, bidding and delivery stay in Reddit Ads Manager. Renable doesn’t manage your campaigns and has no button in here that starts one.

Two more things are yours rather than ours: the Reddit Pixel or Conversions API on your store, which Dynamic Product Ads require, and Reddit’s own review of your catalog — it can hold or reject individual products, and that verdict lives in Reddit Ads Manager, not in Renable.

Everything above, on the free tier

Channels aren’t a paid add-on, and neither is review enrichment. Add Reddit alongside the channels you already run and pay only for the feed items your rules keep.

Reddit product ads, answered

How do I set up Reddit Dynamic Product Ads — and do I need an application?
No application and no allowlist. Reddit Dynamic Product Ads run under the Catalog Sales objective and have been generally available to all Reddit advertisers globally since May 2025, straight from Reddit Ads Manager — and you don’t need to be on Shopify. Renable writes your catalog feed, hosts it at a stable URL, and hands you that URL to paste into Reddit’s Catalog Manager, where you set the sync schedule. Aimée can build the whole channel from your store URL.
Why aren’t my products showing in my Reddit catalog?
In the feed, the usual causes are an image below 500×500 or in the wrong format, a price without its ISO currency code, or a field past one of Reddit’s limits — id 128 characters, title 300, description 5,000, URLs 2,000. Outside the feed, the two big ones are the missing Reddit Pixel and Reddit’s own catalog review, which can hold or reject individual products. Renable checks the feed-side causes per product before you publish and names the ones that fail.
Do I need the Reddit Pixel?
Yes — the Reddit Pixel or the Conversions API is mandatory for Dynamic Product Ads, and it goes on your own store. Renable delivers the catalog and can’t install it for you. It’s worth doing before you build the channel: without it, a perfectly valid catalog still has nothing to work with.
Can I show star ratings on my Reddit products?
Yes. Reddit’s catalog spec includes an average review rating and a number of ratings, and Renable fills both from the reviews it already reads — Trustpilot, Bazaarvoice, TestFreaks, Yotpo, or a Google review XML feed, matched to your products. This is the field most catalogs ship empty, because the numbers live in your review platform rather than your product feed.
Can Renable put a video on my Reddit products?
No. Reddit’s catalog spec has no video field of any kind, so there is nothing for a per-product video to attach to — and we’d rather say that than sell you something Reddit can’t read. Renable carries per-product video to the channels whose catalogs actually take it.
Can I keep my existing Reddit catalog?
Yes — run them in parallel. Reddit documents no supplementary or side-feed concept, so instead of overriding a few fields you stand a Renable catalog up beside the one you have, compare the two outputs product by product, and point Reddit at the Renable feed when you’re satisfied. Nothing has to change on day one.
Does Renable manage my Reddit campaigns?
No. Renable builds the feed and the creative; Reddit runs the campaigns. Budgets, targeting, bidding and delivery all stay in Reddit Ads Manager. What Renable controls is that Reddit gets the best possible version of every product.
What does it cost?
Free for your first 100 items — no credit card, review enrichment included. Paid plans are a flat price per feed item your rules keep, with no percentage of ad spend and unlimited seats, and channels are never a paid add-on. See pricing for the full ladder.
