Renable Options Policy

Last updated: August 25, 2026

Renable Options is a Chrome browser extension made by Renable Marketing AB. It has one purpose: inside Meta Ads Manager's ad editor, it shows which Renable ad design a catalog ad is running and lets you switch it to another design from the same feed. This page explains exactly what data the extension touches. Renable's general handling of personal data is covered by our Privacy Policy.

What the extension reads

The extension is active on Meta Ads Manager and nowhere else. When you open a catalog ad in its ad editor, the extension reads two things from the page address: the ad identifier and the ad account identifier. Those two values are the only information it ever takes from the page.

To place its panel next to the right part of the ad editor, the extension also looks at the surrounding layout of that page — Meta moves things without notice, so the panel has to find its spot. That happens entirely inside your browser, on the ad editor only, and nothing from the page itself is sent anywhere.

It does not read your browsing history, your Facebook login or session, or anything on any other website.

What the extension sends

The two identifiers are sent to Renable's own servers — the only servers the extension talks to — to answer one question: which of your Renable designs does this ad run, and which others are available. If you choose to switch a design, that request is sent the same way. Both happen only while you are signed in to your Renable account.

Two smaller requests happen whether or not you are signed in: the extension asks Renable where to place its panel (see below), and it reports the anonymous technical events described below. Neither carries anything about you or your ads. Nothing at all is sent to anyone other than Renable.

What the extension stores on your device

  • Your Renable session — created when you sign in via the Renable website, kept in the extension's own local storage so you stay signed in between browser sessions, and removed when you sign out or the session expires.
  • Design preview images — copies of your own ad designs, so previews load instantly. These are held in the extension's memory rather than written to your disk, and are dropped when you sign out.
  • The extension's own settings — a saved copy of where to place the panel, refreshed from Renable a few times a day so we can correct the placement when Meta changes Ads Manager without waiting for a new extension release. It contains nothing about you, your account or your ads.

Anonymous technical telemetry

Meta changes Ads Manager's layout without notice. So that we can detect when the extension stops finding its place on the page, it reports anonymous technical events to Renable. A report contains the event name, the shape of the page path with every identifier stripped out, which placement rule matched, the extension's version and settings version, and your browser's language setting. That is the complete list: these reports carry no account data, no ad data, and nothing that identifies you.

What we never do

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not track your browsing. The extension's data handling exists solely to provide the feature described above.

Renable Options’ use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
